  • I saw this journal on Instagram and thought it was funny, I ordered just for the fun of it, but actually it’s a great journal for tired humans, I find it hilarious so it’s a great way to start or end the day on the comical side, life is too short to not to learn from our mistakes. I like that it has a section for stuff I want to do and another one for stuff I don’t want to repeat.

Light enough to take it with me, but with ample space to jolt down anything that comes to mind.
This is the perfect journal to come to reflect on the everyday life and the things that are important and those that are not.
  • For the sake of disclosure, I received this book as part of a giveaway from Instagram - thank you @megumilab - I heart it so!

At first I was a little disappointed that every page is exactly the same. After using this journal for a few days I can see how having every page the same is helpful. The writing prompts do sway my responses towards gratitude, which is the point! It took me a few days and a few adjustments to find my personal flow with this fantastic journal!

    Adjustments and suggestions...
I added a spot for “Quote of the Day” at the top.
I do not like lines of “to do lists” and I feel like the space would be better served with a box like on the left side of the page, maybe with bullet point squares to check off when done. I personally split this space and added a section called “Important Sh*t I Did” since I typically write at the end of the day and it makes me feel productive, also in bullet list form.
The same idea with the bottom of the page - “New Sh*t I Learned” - I like this as bullet point. I also added “Old Sh*t I Remembered” which I use to remind myself of lessons that have value.

This journal gives me the a really cool space to show gratitude in multiple unique ways.
  • I was kind of expecting one of those big, complicated journals with this, but that just isn’t the case here. The book itself is slim, and fits in a standard sized backpack very well. I like to write in it at night before bed, but I’m able to slip it into my bookbag without any issues. There are three goals pages in the front of the book with little quotes attached to them. The goals pages aren’t pretentious and they get to the point quickly. Questions like “Why do I want my goal” and first steps are pretty helpful for me. I make goals just fine, but I tend to flounder after the initial goal so I like the gentle prompting.

Each page after that is cleanly laid out, with only seven categories including date. I started using this book the week I started my new job and I really appreciated being able to run through all the things from the day but without massive amounts of details.

The pages have plenty of space to write if you write big letters but not very much, and more than enough if you write small like I do. They’re in black and white so if you like to use a ton of color it doesn’t look too busy. It’s uncomplicated, to the point, and simple. It doesn’t have dozens of different pages to fill out, it just gives you a forum to get your thoughts out.

The binding on mine cracked a little in the first couple of pages, since it’s pretty cold in my area, but it didn’t snap the spine or cause any issues, so I’m going to guess that’s a one off from the weather here. All in all, I really like this journal and I’m excited to get to use it for the first few months of my new job.

At first glance it doesn’t seem much like a “gratitude” journal, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find that it’s actually really helpful for my mood to see just a couple things I’ve liked about my day that I wouldn’t otherwise think about. All-in-all, I’d definitely recommend it (unless you like those super complicated journals, then this is just not for you).
  • Great way to keep track of the good + bad

Not only is this a hilarious journal, but helpful, too. Each daily spread has a spot for the important stuff you need to get done, the new things you learned that day, what you're grateful for, what you're proud you DIDN'T do, and amazing stuff that happened.

There's plenty of room for each little box to write your thoughts down and get it outta your head. Very therapeutic and would make a great gift for a friend with a great sense of humor!
  • I wanted this journal for my boyfriend. He sustained a brain injury and has a hard time balancing the good and bad in his life. Man did this journal really make it simple for him to jot down the ups and downs of his day. It’s easy for me to track what things are causing him stress so we can eliminate them as best we can. But it’s also nice to go over the things that went well. When life gets tough, sometimes it gets harder to appreciate the little things. This journal just reminds him to be grateful and proud every single day. Highly recommend this journal to anyone. It keeps things light while keeping them in perspective! Excellent quality!
  • Where has this journal been all my life? I love different forms of expressing gratitude to keep myself grounded. But more than anything, I love expressing how much people suck sometimes. This journal captures my thoughts exactly after a long day of working and being tired of everyone.

The format of the journal is very easy to express your thoughts. The prompts are specific enough to write things but not so specific that they're limiting.

I love how simple, yet cute the layout of this is and how down to earth the theme is (I'm all for anything with cursing on it). I'm a task oriented person with a ton on my plate and this journal helps me express things in an organized and also funny way. Thanks Megumi Lab!
